Good question, I’m glad you asked!
Becoming Autumn was the name that came to me during a season when I was desperate for God to move in me as a writer. Even when I am left feeling like the least equipped for this call as a writer, He reminds me that I’m not the one steering the ship anyways. So as the desperation for more of Him, less of me grew, so did my ability to listen.
Becoming.
Aren’t we all becoming? Life is a process and I desire for this space to recognize just that. We all go through seasons of shifting and moving forward, even if it isn’t the type of forward we had in mind. When you are here, that part of your life is recognized along with my own. I believe that a piece of our becoming takes place in community.
Whether you have a solid tangible community in your life today or are craving more of it, I hope that this space might remind you that you are not alone. We are all shifting and doing our best to move forward. I welcome you to my journey and know that I’m here for yours too if you’ll have me.
Autumn.
My favorite time of the year just happens to be Autumn, but its placement here goes far beyond the season it represents. Fall is a time for change. We see the physical change of the leaves turning colors, and falling away so that new leaves can form in their place. In my life, I too am shedding off the unnecessary layers of me that need to go in order for new life to find its place.
Life is so beautiful.
Seasons of hard and comfortable will interchange, but my desire is that this space will be life- giving and empowering. I want to celebrate the every day with you, and remind myself often on the hard days, that beauty rises from the ashes, just like the leaves in Autumn.
